Gang Life

Gang Life chronicles the toll that gang affiliation exacted on the Matondo family and their son, Jonathan, who was shot and killed in October 2007. We also hear from a London gang named ‘Dem Africans’ who share stories of why they are still involved and of former gang members who were jailed as a consequence of their actions, and from the police who reveal the true scale of the problem.

The film also follows the story of 13-year-old Segun, who feels pressured to join a gang in his local area and 17-year-old Ceejay, as she continues on her journey to be free of her gang affiliated past.
