Trainers, Reggae, and the Olympics

An observational documentary that follows a team from sportswear group Puma as they attempt to organise two concerts to publicize their sponsorship of Jamaica’s Olympic squad and promote a new product range.

The film explores the theme of globalization through Puma’s ‘Beachy’ brand extension at events in London, Germany and Athens days before the 2004 Olympics kick off. Includes interviews and performances from music artists Buju Banton, Chaka Demus and Pliers, as well as Assassin and Barrington Levy and a cameo from a very young Usain Bolt.
